REVIEW BY STEVEN BROWN VOCALIST, SAX PLAYER TUXCEDO MOON, NINE RAIN
Jamie is one of the rare Singer song writers who sings to save his life.
You can hear it in his husky voice; a pleading with the universe to Bring Back Love.
Born in Australia, Jamie traces his lineage back to Ireland and the Isle of Skye and ancestors who played fiddle guitar and piano. As a child he worked on a horse ranch with his grandfather in the wild upriver high country. His family in Australia were farmers and musicians and there is a book written about his grandmother’s family called Kyles Myth Music and Legend. Eventually he began his wanderings across the globe.
An extremely sensitive and intuitive soul, I met Jamie in a recording studio many years ago
in Mexico City. Using only his voice and a pair of bongos he ably provided the rhythm tracks for an arrangement of a traditional Mexican song we were recording. Since then he has matured into an intense singer accompanying himself on guitar and rhythm loops.
Jamie could easily produce the same commercial pap we hear on a daily basis just about everywhere. He chose a different path. The only path that makes sense to descendent from the Isle of Sky.

REVIEW FROM MEMO MENDEZ GUIU
COMPOSER, DIRECTOR AND MUSIC PRODUCER
Jamie Hudson expreses what most human souls feel, sometimes in love but mostly in torment. He is very honest when he sings and plays and his honesty, touches us because it comes directly from his heart and truth.
He represents the common and simple man in all of us struggling to survive in this upsidedown world we find ourselves in. His lifeline is his music and he gives it his all and through it, he gives us his all as well.
